The Apostles, a Sioux Falls-based band, are dedicated to playing the music that will make your special event perfect. Whether it's soothing, unobtrusive background music suitable for conversation, classic jazz standards, or high energy rock & roll you love to dance to, the Apostles will play the music you know and enjoy. Whether you want them elegantly attired, or fun and funky, they'll blend in perfectly with your event style. The Apostles can play something for everybody at your event. They will amaze you with their versatility by playing jazz standards by Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Michael Buble, Steve Tyrell, George Gershwin, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra. Then, if requested, kick it up a notch with music by ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Wilson Pickett, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Stray Cats, Fats Domino, The Beatles, Diana Krall, Alicia Keys, Billie Holiday, Dr John, Lou Rawls, Dionne Warwick, Peggy Lee, Roberta Flack, Sam Cooke, Patsy Cline, Louis Prima, Ben E. King, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Harry Connick Jr, Norah Jones, and even Elvis Presley. The Apostles are ready to give you lots of high energy rock & roll if the occasion calls for it and your guests are ready to party. This group features two very experienced, talented vocalists, Willie Bertsch and Jenn Richards. The Apostles also include Mark Law on bass; Dave Hofstad on drums and vocals; Dennis Gale on guitar and vocals; and Joe Hurley on keyboards. Occasional guests:Dan Peterson and Chris Champion on guitar Ken Hoyne on trombone; Jim Speirs on trumpet and flugelhorn, Jim Mckinney on vibes, Fred Evans and Greg Olson on drums, Reuben Rodriguez on bass..
